Overview
This 8-week course (meeting 4 times) explores the spiritual, mental, and emotional challenges that face leaders of the church and aims to cultivate practices of life and behavior that will sustain effective ministry.
In addition, it defines and explores key characteristics and competencies of good leadership in the church with a view toward building those skills in practical ways.
Learners will engage with books and resources such as Peter Scazzero’s Emotionally Healthy Leader.
Intended Competencies
Our learning together in community is intended to assist students to:

- cultivate personal development of emotional intelligence, self-care, and relationships that aim to integrate healthy life choices and the expectations of Christian ministry.
- facilitate increased spiritual vitality consistent with the uniqueness of ministry callings.
- reinforce the attitudes necessary for Christian ministry leadership, including humility, teachability, service, empathy, discipline, and teamwork.
